We're always interested in hearing from talented automation engineers who share our values — relationships, commitment and high performance. Whether you're looking for a permanent role or subcontract opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
Duke Control Systems is built on technical credibility. We're looking for engineers who have genuine hands-on experience — people who have programmed robots on live production lines, commissioned PLC systems under pressure, and take pride in doing the job properly.
ABB, FANUC, KUKA or Yaskawa — welding, handling, palletising or assembly applications.
Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, Mitsubishi or Beckhoff — control logic, safety systems and commissioning.
E-PLAN or AutoCAD Electrical design, panel build and on-site installation experience.
Process Simulate, FANUC RoboGuide, ABB RobotStudio or KUKA.Sim experience.
Experience delivering automation projects across automotive, FMCG, logistics or life sciences environments.
If you have relevant automation experience and share our values, we want to hear from you regardless.
We're a growing automation business based in Birmingham. Permanent team members are the foundation of what we do — they carry our values, develop our reputation and grow with the business over the long term.
We invest in our people. Permanent team members at Duke benefit from working on genuinely varied and technically challenging projects alongside experienced engineers who care about doing things properly.
No current vacancies listed? Send us your CV anyway. We keep all applications on file and contact suitable candidates when opportunities arise — often before we advertise.
When project demand increases, we work with trusted specialist engineers on a subcontract basis. We're always building our network of reliable, technically strong engineers who are available at short notice and can hit the ground running.
Subcontract engineers who work with Duke need to be genuinely experienced, self-sufficient on site and able to represent Duke to a high standard. We're not looking for people who need to be managed closely — we need engineers who own their work.
Send us your details and we'll add you to our network. When a project comes up that matches your skills, we'll be in touch. We aim to build long-term relationships with our subcontract network — not just use people once.
Technically challenging work across automotive, FMCG, logistics and life sciences — not box-ticking exercises.
Work alongside engineers who have done the job at the highest level. No politics — just good engineering.
We believe doing business together should be a pleasure. We treat our engineers the way we treat our clients — with respect.
Central UK location — well placed for project work across the country's major manufacturing heartlands.
We care about doing things properly. If you take pride in your work, you'll fit in here.
We're building something for the long term. There is genuine opportunity to grow with us as the business develops.
If you'd like to have an informal conversation before submitting your details, we're happy to chat. Call us or drop us an email — no obligation, just a conversation.
