Virtual Commissioning in Process Simulate
Duke Control Systems provides virtual commissioning using Process Simulate to de-risk automation projects before equipment arrives on site. We build a digital model of the cell, connect it to your PLC logic, and validate behaviour offline to reduce on-site commissioning time and improve first-time-right performance.
As part of this process, we also create robot offline programs (OLPs) in Process Simulate, allowing robot paths, motions, and sequences to be developed and validated before download to the real robot.
What We Deliver
A practical, controls-led virtual commissioning workflow combining PLC logic validation and robot offline programming (OLP) in Process Simulate.
- Offline validation of sequences, permissives, and interlocks
- Robot OLP creation and path development
- Collision checking and reach validation
- Fault handling and recovery testing
- Cycle time and throughput checks
Key Capabilities
Our Process Simulate Workflow
- Build simulation: cell layout, robot kinematics, tooling, sensors, and I/O
- Create robot OLPs: robot paths, motions, tool frames, and sequences
- Connect controls: PLC logic interfacing and handshakes
- Test scenarios: normal operation, faults, stops, E-stops, and recovery
- Deploy: refined PLC logic and robot programs ready for site commissioning
Discuss Virtual Commissioning & Robot OLP Development
If you’re planning a robotics or end-of-line automation project, we can support virtual commissioning and robot offline programming to reduce risk and shorten commissioning time.
